Machine, mousse or mist?
Self tan comes in three formats at scandibrown. Spray tan liquid is used in a spray tan machine – either our own Spraytan Mini or a device you already own, like Tanrevel – and gives the most even result. Mousse is applied with a mitt and gives instant colour. Mist is sprayed directly onto the skin and builds gradual colour without mess.
All three are based on DHA, which reacts with the top layer of your skin – the difference lies in how the colour is applied and how quickly it builds.
Original or Neutral – and which shade?
The Original series has a warm, balanced undertone and comes in four depths from Light to Extra Dark. The Neutral series has a slightly cooler undertone for a more naturally tanned look and comes as Soft and Rich.
Rule of thumb: the more easily your skin burns in the sun, the softer the shade you should choose. Not sure? Several shades can be tested for free – order samples and try them at home before buying full size.
